Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken
Ingredients
- Frozen chicken breasts
- ½ cup chicken broth or water
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 packet taco seasoning
Instructions
- Place the frozen chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken.
- Pour the salsa and chicken broth on top.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and easily shreds.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the cooking liquid.
Serving Suggestions
Use the chicken for tacos, burrito bowls, salads, wraps, or serve over rice.
Notes
- No need to thaw the chicken before cooking.
- If using thick chicken breasts, allow closer to the full cooking time for best results.
